Rock the Taskbar

I'm kind of with Christian Bale on this one: I have done some (very little) student amateur film acting (no not that kind of amateur varietal you dirty bastard) but can say from those experiences alone, that when someone on set walks in to your site line during a take, it is _really distracting - I can only imagine how a pro feels that is trying to shoot a difficult scene, and there is a ton of money on the line and things are costing like 20K a minute or whatever ... the pressure must really be intense - and the clear mistake the DP, Shane Hurlbut, made, all the more chafing. Especially to do this to a consummate pro, and immense talent, like Christian Bale.

I am also surprised that McG (the Director) didn't step in and ask the DP to take a walk around the block, so that he wasn't coming up with every manner of excuse to an already hot under the collar, lead actor. In the background he says, "I didn't see it..." Doesn't matter man ... you need to McRun the McShoot, you know, as McBEST you can! Keep the peace. Keep it running smoothly and efficiently.

Bale apologized like a true gentleman, and yes, we have all had a _really bad day - and we have all gone ballistic in one form or another, to one degree or another.

In keeping with the music related theme of this site ... I include the RevoLucian remix entitled Bale Out below - or Bale Boogie (as I affectionately call it) - although it is more a techno number, than say, anything that Earth Wind and Fire ever put out.

Enjoy!

I heard a rumor back in the day (from a pretty reliable music biz source) that the girls in the Addicted to Love video are actually men in drag... and yes, time is money, and money is time... so you gots to get your groove on, and keep it on (if you know what I mean) - when it comes to making any kind of art - but especially film. Heavily collaborative, etc... I'm mostly on the scoring side these days - and am doing some writing ... content is king brother ... keep rocking!

I know people who use to work as grips, & from what I've heard is time is money, and everyone is really tired & stressed. I almost got into acting myself, just wasn't my thing. Did some modeling. it was because I was a musician, I held the bass a bass player should. Not like the chicks in that Robert Palmer video.
